Verdict

This could be the easiest task that Lord Sandicliffe has faced to date and Barry Hills colt gets the nod ahead of main market rival Alwaabel. The selection comes here on the back of a decent second at Nottingham on soft ground. He bumped into a promising individual on that occasion and as the newcomers don't catch the eye here, he only looks to have Alwaabel to beat. The last-named has been given a break of 137 days to get over defeat at Newbury last time out. This will be the softest ground to date that he has encountered but if he handles it then he should go close. Expect improvement from Hellfire Bay after just one run, whilst My Flame shaped with slightly more promise last time out but still doesn't look a world beater. Bad Moon Rising represents a stable in form but not known for debutante winners. Billberry will need further in time but might be able to run into a place, however this looks a two-horse race and we plump for Lord Sandicliffe.
