Shadowy Figure may well be interesting from a mark of 78 on his handicap debut, however Observatory Star is a proven handicap performer and Tim Easterby's charge is taken to score ahead of Shot To Fame and St Andrews. The selection has run well on all sorts of ground in the past and whilst he continues to rise up the weights, the progressive four-year-old should run well once again. Nevada Desert would be a danger if getting things his own way in front, whilst Full Victory is capable but needs to put an average recent effort behind him. Shadowy Figure didn't beat an awful lot on his debut but he still won well and this half-brother to Alexander Goldrun must have solid claims of paying back some of his exorbitant $400,000 price tag. Shot To Fame ran well last time out and whilst he doesn't win too often, he cannot be left out of calculations. St Andrews may prefer quicker ground, along with Orpen Wide. At a price Kinsya could run into a place, however Observatory Star is given the nomination.
