Outsiders have done well in this race in the past so whilst it would be folly to rule out any of the runners, it looks to be between Veronicas Way, Priceless Speedfit and Valentino Sky with the vote going to the last-named. In truth, this is a very weak-looking nursery but Nick Littmoden's charge should be competitive. He ran better than the bare result last time out at Kempton and the winner has gone in again since. He was hampered in the early stages on that occasion and with the blinkers appearing to have had some effect (have worked on some of his relatives in the past), he should run well. There are doubts about the ground for several of his rivals, not least George Margarson's Priceless Speedfit. She has shaped with plenty of promise but those runs have been on quicker ground and whilst the drop in trip will suit today, it is unlikely that the ground will. Veronicas Way was a good winner on his penultimate start. Again his best runs have come on quicker ground but if he handles this first outing on soft ground then he should go well. Wiseman's Diamond warrants respect on this, his handicap debut, whilst Berrymead is one to watch for market support now stepped up in trip. At a price Coral Shores could run well however he needs to improve and so it is Valentino Sky who gets the vote.
