Easily the most valuable race on the card has drawn a competitive field with a number of potentially well treated three-year-olds in opposition. John Dunlop has made a typically fine start to the campaign and the master of Arundel has a likely type in the shape of Goodwood Prince. The son of Emperor Jones flopped on testing ground on his final juvenile start but had previously looked a most progressive performer and looks capable of further improvement this year. Grand Passion and Web Perceptions represent powerful yards and remain unexposed so have to be respected while High Reach has proved a most consistent type on the all-weather during the winter and has a fitness edge. Aventura has also enjoyed a profitable winter on the Polytrack but may prove vulnerable under top weight while Yeoman Lad has been off the track since early August and may need the outing despite his stable being in good form at present.
