Andrew Balding has made a fine start to his training career since taking over there reins from his father Ian at Kingsclere and is taken to add to his tally with the hat-trick seeking Tarawan. The Nashwan gelding has been in excellent heart of late and followed a comfortable victory at Lingfield with an easy five-length success on the opening day of the turf campaign at Doncaster. Even with a 5lb penalty, the selection is well treated on his old form and should prove hard to beat with conditions once again in his favour. Noble Pasao showed a consistent level of form last term including handicap wins at Beverley and Lingfield but now looks high enough in the weights and returns from a five-month absence. Danish Decorum lost his way last year but returns on a reasonable mark and the booking of Pat Eddery catches the eye while Aswan and Faraway Look have been in fair form on the all-weather and could go well with a fitness advantage.
