Verdict

AVEROO looks the safest option in a tricky finale where chances can also be given to Ocean Legend and Big Boom. The selection is partnered by the leading amateur which counts for plenty and his experience could be crucial to Michael Squance's charge. Averoo has been in fine form lately but remains well handicapped on a mark of 61 given that he has been rated as high as 78 and the return to racing on turf can only be in his favour. Big Boom returns to the scene of his most recent victory but that came on soft ground over six furlongs and he has to prove that he can see out this trip. The trip will prove to be no problem for Ocean Legend who may have gained some confidence from his win in a Lingfield seller but his record on grass doesn't inspire confidence. Cases can be made for a good number more in this field but they may not be able to cope with the revitalised Averoo.
