SOVEREIGN REMEDY is fancied to come out on top from Mabait and Swift Chap in this cracking contest. Saeed Bin Suroor's runner has no easy task under a penalty but he did win very easily at Southwell and still appears to be progressing. It was a shade disappointing that he had failed to win at Epsom prior to that but the form of his two runs at Newmarket in July read well and he's relatively fresh. Mabait has proved well suited by the demands of Wolverhampton of late and it remains to be seen as to whether he can replicate that form back on turf from a higher mark. Swift Chap is back on a career high mark following a facile success at Newbury where he made every yard and he seems to have come to himself now but this contest looks more competitive. Spitfire was well backed at Lingfield on his latest start and is capable of running a big race if he gets a mile back on turf. Guilded Warrior and Charlie Tipple are capable of making their presence felt but neither appeals as being that well handicapped unlike Kinsya who could be on the way back as he shaped with more promise at Goodwood but Stevie Gee appears to have lost his way and is hard to recommend in a race where the answer may be Sovereign Remedy.
