LENNY BEE gets the nod over Mister Laurel, Finnegan McCool and Kerrys Requiem. An unexposed grey son of Kyllachy, the selection comes here on the back of two good efforts in handicap company in May. Although it was disappointing that he couldn't win at Ayr most recently (5/4 favourite), it was his first try at six furlongs and having raced keenly he could not quite prevail; the drop in trip therefore looks sure to suit. Finnegan McCool only has one win to his name from nine starts and his reappearance run at Windsor was just average, however he has some solid form on quick ground from last season and should run a better race today. Kerrys Requiem ran well in defeat last time out at Goodwood in a better race than this and the drop in trip could be ideal; again she has a poor strike-rate but it would be unwise to rule her out despite a 2lb rise in the weights. Bahamian Babe needs to bounce back to form, whilst Doctor Parkes and Mister Laurel are better judged on their wins than recent disappointments. Excellent Show is one to keep an eye on in the betting, however this looks a good opportunity for Lenny Bee to come home in front.
