Verdict
PINNACLE LAD looked professional in defeat at Beverley three weeks ago and, as he is getting better with every run, he may have too much fire power for Six Diamonds and Magneto. That said Aintwogrand has speed in his pedigree, so is worth monitoring for signs of support. Magneto has yet to set the world alight but ran well for a long way at Leicester 12 days ago. A more patient approach in the saddle may see him in a better light this afternoon. Six Diamonds has experience of the course at Bath and seemed to handle the track well eight days ago. However, he was left for dead by a very speedy sort that day and another hard race may come around a bit quickly for Hughie Morrison's youngster. Therefore, it can pay to stick with Pinnacle lad, who is definitely going in the right direction and may have been found the perfect opportunity to rid himself of the maiden tag.
