TIKKA MASALA is on the up and gets the nod ahead of Sapphire Rose and Oriental Girl. The last named is a course and distance winner that should be capable of a bold show. However, she also lacks consistency, so cannot be relied upon to produce earnest endeavour when under pressure. Neither in truth can Sapphire Rose; even though she got the better of Jewelled Reef last time out. Her previous form was nothing special and it would be risky to just assume she has the necessary fire to hold off the selection - especially as Tikka Masala seems to have really got the hang of things these days. Tom Dascombe's filly is unexposed at the trip but has already shaped as if a mile will not be an issue for her. The daughter of One Cool Cat may have an ungainly head carriage but, as evidenced by her gutsy win at Leicester 12 days ago, she does have a willing attitude and she can be fancied to follow up in this modest company
