Another difficult maiden to predict the outcome of, with Siyabona getting the call over Sayedati Elhasna, Portodora and the Stoute pair Lambda and Ucetek. Sayedati Elhasna is the one that catches the eye initially on her third to stablemate Muthabara at Newbury in June, and indeed that form has been been franked since. However, it is amazing how often these once-raced sorts get turned over next time, especially when everybody fancies them, so instead we shall side with the Godolphin newcomer Siyabona, a daughter of Kingmambo who has been well entered up this week. She holds an entry against the colts in next year's Vodafone Derby, and will certainly be worth bearing in mind when stepped up in trip as a three-year-old. Portodora is also by Kingmambo, and the dam is a half-sister to the stable's Oaks winner Reams Of Verse, while Sir Michael Stoute sets a poser by saddling both Lambda and Ucetek. The market may be a guide to which one is the most fancied, but we shall rely on Siyabona to come good at the first time of asking.
