In depth

Verdict

The most valuable event on the card can go to the unbeaten Pippa Greene, with Harry Tricker, Sugar Ray and Music Review seen as the main dangers. Pippa Greene has done nothing wrong yet, having made a winning debut on the Lingfield Polytrack in April before overcoming an absence to score on his handicap bow at Newbury in August. That was on softer ground than he will encounter today, but he seems a most adaptable progressive sort, who at one time was considered Derby material. Although saddled with topweight here, he is taken to complete a hat-trick. Harry Tricker is more experienced, having won each of his last two starts at Goodwood, but he now faces a two-grade hike, as does the costly Sugar Ray, even though he was beaten at Sandown last time. Music Review will also find this tougher, but she does possess a good turn of foot, and makes more appeal than the remaining two contenders, Always Fruitful and Prince Sabaah. Pippa Greene has plenty of scope though, and is the one to beat.
