In this maiden, the short list consists of Ajaan, El Dececy and Cadeaux du Monde, with the vote going to Ajaan. Dragon Dancer's half-brother Ajaan catches the eye on breeding and is an interesting contender for this maiden. Go Solo's half brother Apache Dawn hails from a good yard but others are preferred today. Cadeaux du Monde was just beaten at Newmarket last time and, even though that form only rates in the low 70s, some prize money could well come his way. Celtic Step is a potential improver for his Sandown debut, where he ran green, while El Dececy, who showed only a modicum of promise on his debut, is thought capable of better based on his big-race entries. He's Mine Too is not ruled out based on breeding, neither is King Of The Beers, a $50,000 purchase, and Western Adventure has plenty to like on breeding, and the market might prove your best guide to his chances. In fact, that isn't a bad starting point in attempting to find the winner of this contest but, without that, our vote goes to Ajaan.
