Not a strong race and we side with Lady Lily in preference to The Nifty Fox and Final Dynasty. Henry Cecil is not noted for too many runners in this part of the world but his front-runner sets the benchmark for this contest and if she can sneak a soft lead, the race is there for the taking. The Nifty Fox is not the most straight-forward of individuals but has ability. It would not be a big surprise were she good enough here. Final Dynasty shaped with some promise at Wolverhampton but did not get the six furlongs on debut. Five furlongs could be a better bet. Similar comments apply to Ronnie Howe, who did not appear to stay at Newcastle. As a son of Mull of Kintyre, Multitude is watched on debut. Metal Guru could be of interest in the event of further rain. A maiden open to many but realistically winnable by a few and we stick with Lady Lily.
