Lodgician, Mister Arjay and Incursion look to have the race between them and we stick with Lodgician. John Quinn's colt won well at Carlisle and fully appreciated a test of stamina. Although his win to runs ratio is poor, his latest run at Newcastle can be overlooked as he never travelled at any stage. Mister Arjay is moderate but he could not be faulted in his victory at Pontefract as he gained due reward for a series of placed efforts. He has been on the go for the while and this will need to be factored into any betting plans. Incursion is worth a try over this longer trip after two placed finishes over 1m4f. Victoria Behan takes 7lb off and she is riding well at present. Rajam was backed off the boards ahead of his recent outing at Redcar but the money never looked like returning out of the bookies satchels. True has to be respected on a course-and-distance victory while Thewhirlingdervish would have chances on his old form but has looked a light of his former self. A hum-drum affair and a chance is taken with Lodgician
