In this maiden, Foreigner gets the vote ahead of Avoriaz and Grand Silence. Foreigner showed plenty of promise when fourth on his Salisbury debut to suggest that a race of this nature is well within his compass, The 110,000 guineas purchase also hails from an in-form yard. The Luca Cumani-trained French import Avoriaz would not have to be any great shakes to get seriously involved in a modest maiden and the betting will tell you more. Escape Clause does not look one of his stable's leading lights although a first-time visor elicited some improvement last time, and it would be no surprise to see Grand Silence improve markedly on his Windsor debut. The same stable also runs The Aldbury Flyer. The best of Hotel du Lac's juvenile efforts afford him some respect, and, much as he is a long way from justifying his 360,000 guineas price tag, Aryaamm has shown enough to get a reasonable mention. Finally, Generous Jem is a half-sister to the prolific Polar Jem and Tidal Chorus showed some promise on her debut but the vote stays with Foreigner.
