In depth

Verdict

Wootton Creek is interesting on a first handicap start and Buick is always a noteworthy booking for the Johnston team, which will surely explode into life sooner or later. The yard had a winner on Saturday and many of their runners ran well, suggesting the corner is about to be turned. However, DIVINE MAGIC has a stylish course and distance win to her name and did well to score here so decisively last time after not enjoying the smoothest of passages. She can defy a 6lb rise for that success. Spirit Of Bermuda is a player if a line is drawn through her latest run and Red Fascinator should be all the better for her York reappearance in what was a good-quality affair.
