An open contest in which most have a decent claim but FLYING WEST brings a good record to the table on turf, having finished first and second on his sole starts on grass. Tom Marquand gets a good tune out of him and the step-up to 1m2f could well bring about some improvement off a fair mark. The lightly-raced The City's Phantom has only had six starts and his recent all-the-way success under Oisin Murphy was sufficiently impressive to see him raised to a career-high mark. The champion is on board again and the pair are highly respected. Croeso Cymraeg, a really smooth traveller in his races, ran a cracker here last time and should contend again.
