    Verdict

A host of promising newcomers from leading yards in what could prove an exciting and informative juvenile maiden. Experience remains a key component in such contests though and NEPTUNE LEGEND looks sure to come on a ton after shaping well when runner-up over this trip at Nottingham on debut. Expect him to prove far more streetwise now. Croupier will improve after his promising Yarmouth debut too, when noted staying on nicely and only beaten just over a length. Of the many interesting newcomers to look at, Yaahobby, withdrawn ahead of an intended York debut, sole northern raider Triple Time and Roger Varian's American Pharoah colt, Sed Maarib, are three to note both here and for the future.
