As usual the Queen's Prize is a very competitive stayers' contest but if he handles the track then RIGUEZ DANCER might just make a mockery of that. Patrick Haslam has placed him very well to complete a hat-trick on the slower surfaces of Wolverhampton and Southwell over trips ranging from 1m 3f right up to 2m 1f. Stamina is therefore not in doubt, and he clearly has a bit of speed in the locker too. The manner of his wins so far have suggested that he remains ahead of the handicapper despite another 10lb rise and we will side with him. Benhego is another in cracking form of late, and unlike the selection he is proven here with a course and distance win in February. He defied a 7lb rise in style last time and a further 7lbs on his back here does not look crushing. Meshtri is much respected given that his excellent yard keep a very good strike rate and also that this extra quarter-mile look likely to suit. If he goes on the surface then he could give them all plenty to do. Wine 'N Dine is 9lbs higher than when scoring over course and distance in January and is arguably unexposed over the trip, while Profit's Reality won with something in hand last time but may not be quite as effective on this faster surface. Gee Dee Nen is fit from a successful winter over hurdles. He clearly needs to prove himself at this track but has the ability to get competitive. Downhiller is a very consistent performer at trips upwards of 12f but a 3lb rise won't make this any easier and preference is for Riguez Dancer.
