Dandy Nicholls has his string in great form and at these weights REGAL PARADE looks to be the best bet on today's card, while stablemate Abraham Lincoln and Hogmaneigh should get heavily involved. The selection is having his first run at Kempton and therefore he does have to prove that he handles the place and the surface, though he does already have wins on the artificial surfaces at Southwell and Wolverhampton to his name. The trip looks ideal, he is very tough and competitive and he has won when fresh so we'll side with him. Abraham Lincoln was highly tried last season when with Aidan O'Brien and did not look up to it, but he is not one to write off just yet and the change of scenery might have him suitably rejuvenated and ready to run a big race. Hogmaneigh handled Lingfield's Polytrack well enough on his only previous try in 24 starts and he has the ability to get closely involved provided he is straight enough for this reappearance. This is a more realistic level for Battle Paint, who tries this surface for the first time and is not short of speed. With John Gosden's runners in form the five-year-old should be capable of making his presence felt, but Regal Parade gets the vote.
