SAINT ARCH handled the surface well when scoring at Lingfield last time and can complete what will be a hat-trick here at the main expense of Nawaadi. Both runs from the Mark Johnston-trained selection have marked him out as a typically tough colt that so often run up sequences for the yard. This step up in trip will undoubtedly suit and he can find enough improvement for it to win again. Nawaadi won on his debut at Great Leighs in the autumn despite running green and has not seen the racecourse since. John Gosden's runners have been firing well of late and he is likely to be ready to produce a good reappearance run. Clumber Place would need to show a fair bit of improvement on his own debut win to figure, while Al Sabaheya is certainly worth another look after a win and another decent effort so far. Changing The Guard is a consistent gelding who should appreciate the extra furlong here and shapes as though there is more improvement to come. Royal Executioner was the comfortable scorer in a Lingfield maiden last month and is another who looks capable of being competitive from just a 2lb higher mark. Kaolak won doing handstands in a weak race when last seen out, while Laurie Grove looks likely to be thereabouts. A tough enough race to call but we will side with Saint Arch.
