A couple of interesting newcomers here in Massaro Pape and Reballo and both should be watched closely in the market, however we will side with the Walter Swinburn runner Gateland. The stable has made a decent start to the new campaign and Gateland showed plenty of ability in two runs last season. On his most recent run last September he wasn't beaten far behind the Michael Stoute trained Scottish Stage when not given a hard race. With improvement likely he could be the best option here. Luca Cumani trains Massaro Pape who is a half brother to four winners in Italy. The stable can ready one first time out and he will not have to be anything special to land a race of this nature. James Fanshawe has booked Jamie Spencer for his debutante Reballo, a well bred son of King's Best, as we have said the market should let us know if this one is fiut and fancied. The rest of the experienced runners make little appeal and so we come back to Gateland as the form choice
