    Verdict

A good maiden and ZIGATO is selected in preference to Eshtyaaq and High On A Hill. John Gosden's runner was sent off a warm favourite on debut but ran much too green to do himself justice. He should have come on plenty for the experience and can go on. Marcus Tregoning's return to form has been most welcome and Eshytaaq, who still holds an entry in the Derby, must be noted closely in the market on introduction. High On A Hill sets the standard off his current BHA rating. He is clearly worth another go over the trip. Status Symbol has been seen in bumpers and attempts to land one against the flat performers. Amanda Perrett's horses have strived in fine form and Huff And Puff can be expected to run well. The remainder look ordinary. Zigato went into plenty of notebooks on debut and it is to be hoped that he can move into plenty of winning ledger books tonight.
