In depth

Verdict

SWAN RIVER is a half-sister to a Grade 1 winner in the US as well as Richmond Stakes winner Land Force. Roger Varian’s filly may prove good enough to make a winning start and is preferred to fellow newcomers Claudius Secundus and Al Badr. Irish Acclaim steps up in trip in first-time headgear having placed again when third over 6f at Lingfield while Captivated has switched yards since finishing third here in October. Rondo looks a likely improver on his first outing since August.
