A very competitive opener in which the weights are headed by Sevarano, who has won this season at Chepstow and Newbury and was far from disgraced in a Class 2 handicap at the latter track last time when sent off favourite. Igor has been quite highly tried since landing an Ascot maiden in November which has produced subsequent winners but stablemate Felony was disappointing on his hurdles bow at Ludlow. Carlow Farmer can only improve on his Exeter third while Logan Rocks has had wind surgery since finishing down the field in the Grade 1 Tolworth at Sandown. DANNY KIRWAN has an absence to overcome but that’s rarely a problem for one from his powerful stable. He was last seen finishing second to the smart Angels Breath in a Grade 2 just over a year ago and still has time on his side.
