      Verdict

elJust the seven runners for this 1m4f maiden but finding the winner does not look easy with most of the septet looking to hold some sort of a chance. Amanda Perrett's Chivite has shown gradual improvement and should be thereabouts as should the well bred Ishtak from John Gosden's stable. A creditable third in a Newmarket maiden last time reads well in the context of this race and the daughter of Nashwan holds solid claims. Kamala looks one of Mark Johnston's lesser lights among his strong team of three-year-olds and stronger claims are probably held by the Marcus Tregoning-trained Katandi, who could dominate from the front. John Dunlop introduces a son of Silver Hawk in Shaamel who rather worryingly has already been gelded.
