Polar Way and Shining White both have identical records coming into this classified stakes race having won their only start so far. The former has arguably the better form, as his maiden at Newbury is working out well. However, that was over seven furlongs and the drop to six may not be ideal. Mick Channon's Pic Up Sticks has been running well without winning recently and may prefer more cut in the ground and a bigger danger may be the Richard Hannon-trained Red Opal who came good, after a string of decent efforts, when running out the impressive winner of a Folkestone maiden in April. Although not seen since, fitness should not be a problem and, if in a similar vein of form here, she will be tough to beat.
