BUFFETT can help himself to further glory by landing this prize at the expense of My Nan Nell and Song To The Moon. Luca Cumani's Bertolini colt has another 5lbs to shoulder following a narrow defeat at Leicester but the third, fourth and fifth have all run well in defeat since suggesting that the form will stand up and he can be rated a little better than the bare form as he'd have preferred a stronger pace. Song To The Moon was well held in what was probably a very competitive race at Goodwood and it would be no surprise to see her fare better at this level which is also true of Whippers Love who has failed to get competitive in valuable races the last twice. Elspeth's Boy followed up his last place in the Guineas with a seventh of nine at Haydock but may benefit from the step up in trip on an artificial surface whilst Be A Devil looks sure to enjoy this stiffer test given the way that he finished over a mile here last time. It's probably worth forgiving Mawaddah and My Nan Nell poor runs last time and both runners remain of interest but the nod goes to Buffett.
