King Olav ran a race full of promise on debut and while reservations exist with regard to the worth of the form, there should be plenty of improvement to come hailing from the Michael Jarvis yard. He did hang throughout on debut but if one is willing to forgive him and put that down to inexperience, he should go very close. Amhooj has course form over varying trips but twelve furlongs looks at least as far as she wants to go while Aboriginie steps up three furlongs in trip but is more exposed than his rivals and not the scope for improvement. E Major has not stepped up from an eye-catching run in a Newmarket maiden three starts back but given the lack of strength in depth in this, it would come as no surprise if he was in the shake-up. The market should be monitored where the debutant Winter Miss and Vallani are concerned but King Olav is the selection.
