Holiday Cocktail is in tremendous form at present and can complete a hat-trick here at the main expense of Marvo and Saluscraggie. The selection has enjoyed back-to-back wins at Pontefract over this trip and has gone up 13lb for four wins in his last six races, but there is more to come. He would not want the ground to get too soft, but he has shown some decent enough form with cut and Simon Walker can steer him home in front. Marvo is a lightly-raced colt who won't mind the cut and comes here in good nick after a placed effort over the trip at Leicester. He seems to be a consistent performer and another good run is anticipated. Saluscraggie loves it here, with two of his three career wins coming at the track, but he was stuffed over this trip when last tried at Beverley, and he is fully exposed, so perhaps this may be a bit on the short side for tonight. Elite Land looks to have too much weight on his back at present, while Home is versatile at far as trip is concerned and as a Southwell winner he probably won't mind the slower ground so he could have a squeak. An interesting start to the card and the drinks can be on Holiday Cocktail.
