Verdict
It may be worth giving Lorikeet one more chance in the finale now that Ryan Moore takes the ride for the first time. Irish Quest and Legend Erry rate the dangers. The selection won three times for Noel Chance last year but has failed to land a blow for Gary Moore and disappointed again when finishing just over 5 lengths behind Coda Agency last time with Featherlight also ahead of him in second. He clearly has something to prove but we're prepared to give him one more chance. Gala Evening is not without claims but Irish Quest and Legend Erry appeal as better long term prospects. The former made steady progress throughout last season at a modest level and may have been over the top on his final start. His shrewd trainer is sure to place him to advantage this summer. Legend Erry routed the opposition twice in January before disappointing when possibly feeling the effects of three quick runs. He's been freshened up and should be able to resume his upward curve but we're hoping that he'll have to give best to Lorikeet.
