Lady Aquitane and Kay Es Jay set the standard on juvenile form but one of their less exposed adversaries may be able to improve past them and we'll take a chance with Jazz Jam. The selection showed promise in some fair maidens on her first two starts before winning in good style on her handicap debut. She then stepped up on that form when coming within a short-head of winning at this level at Newmarket. Her yard has made an exceptionally good start to the season which bodes well for her chances of doing herself justice at the first attempt. Lady Aquitane earned her high rating with good runs in the Sirenia Stakes at this track and in the Cheveley Park Stakes whilst Kay Es Jay was also highly tried and was only beaten by 3 lengths by Kitty Matcham in the Rockfel. Honky Tonk Sally relished the step up to 7 furlongs for her final start of 2007 and should have more to offer at this trip and beyond in the coming months. She could show up well from her high draw but we'll take a chance with Jazz Jam.
