Richard Hughes is firing in the winners lately and can get on the score sheet again if Kyle runs to the best of his abilities; King's Apostle and Shustraya are others fancied to go close. Shustraya has been the model of consistency and she can be expected to be in the shake-up once more. However, she doesn't appear to be especially well treated at present and needs everything to go her way. King's Apostle made a successful return to sprinting at Ripon last month and will be a big threat if in the same frame of mind tonight. The William Haggas-trained colt coped well with the surface when he raced here last season and he looks the main obstacle in the way of the selection. Nevertheless, Kyle is very hard to fault on what he has achieved so far and, considering that he has only finished out of the frame once in 11 previous starts, he has ticks all the right boxes to gain the upper hand at this level.
