Ruby Delta gets the narrow vote in a competitive opener in which Southwest Star and Mac Dalia also look to hold claims. The selection is a lightly-raced colt and he ran really well last time here when chasing home Distant Charm over 7f. He is proven on the surface and with nominal improvement he should be capable of getting his head in front. Southwest Star does not lack for ability but he looked a tricky ride last time when finishing fifth behind Vhujon at Bath and as he clearly has his quirks we are happy to oppose him on this occasion. Mac Dalia was denied a clear run last time at Yarmouth so she is certainly of some interest here. Maddy ran very green on her debut and she should come on plenty for the experience, but we are happy to stick with Ruby Delta who is taken to land the spoils.
