In depth
Verdict
Chant de Guerre could be the answer here with Rafferty and Fire At Will the others to consider. The selection went close last time out when chasing home Ravenna on the all-weather here. This slight drop in trip should suit and she looks the percentage call. Conversely, Rafferty is stepped-up in trip and although he has to be respected in a race as weak as this, the fact that he is unproven over the distance is slightly off-putting. Fire At Will ran okay in a handicap last time and with his yard pretty shrewd he could be of interest if the market vibes are positive. The City Kid is another that could struggle to see out this trip so looks worth taking on. This is a very moderate contest and the narrow nomination is given to Chant de Guerre.
