Kempton maidens don't come much more interesting than this one, where it could prove tricky to find the winner, and we are inclined to take a chance on MUHANDIS. Ed Dunlop's colt was too keen on debut and was a spent force at the business end, but he should be able to settle better having had that experience. He has an eyecatching pedigree, being related to plenty of winners and if his pilot can get him some cover from a wide draw they could be in business. Malacca Straits should improve for a decent debut effort, while newcomer Male Model is also nicely bred and from a set-up whose juveniles are going well. Buckland will need to show more after a slightly disappointing run at Newbury last time and Custom House looks a very obvious danger after showing improvement from first run to second and now stepped back up in trip. Alshazah looks a likely nursery proposition and with the usual advice to check the market for confidence in those on debut, we'll side with Muhandis.
