    Verdict

ZAAJER finished a creditable third over today’s trip at Lingfield on his seasonal return and handicap debut. Gelded since, he was surrounded by four subsequent winners at Lingfield and has obvious claims on the strength of that form. Roman Warrior is getting closer and drops back in trip after a second over a mile at Chepstow while Katie Lee posted a better effort at Doncaster recently and Little Miss Lilly sports first-time blinkers. Ambroise is preferred of the Hannon trio but the returning Mossketeer remains 12lb higher than last year’s success at Chelmsford.
