A bookies benefit here and as wide open as the Amazon, but we take Summer Dancer off bottom weight to beat Samarinda, Networker, Eager Igor and Sailor King. The selection won here over c&d in December and is a lightly raced Fasilyev gelding. Proven on the surface and over the trip, he is in form courtesy of a 7f Nottingham win last time and looks capable of backing that up here. Samarinda was a c&d winner last time out and starts the race at the opposite end of the handicap. However a 6lb penalty for that success means an 11lb rise recently and that should prove too much to allow a follow up. Networker was perhaps caught out as much by the cut in the ground as a hike in the weights at Carlisle last time and back on this surface may be a tougher proposition, Eager Igor is probably too high in the weights now, while the same can be said of Sailor King, although a 3lb drop will help. But Summer Dancer has done enough so far to suggest that he is up to this.
