Baronovici can land this race for last year's winning trainer Richard Hannon. Polite Society and Without A Prayer make it to the shortlist. By Namid out of a Barathea mare, Baronovici should be at home on this ground and having made a very pleasing debut (despite hanging markedly left under pressure), Ricghard Hannon's colt looks the one to side with. The form of Polite Society's debut run has taken some heavy knocks in recent weeks but that is not to say that Mark Johnston's filly cannot run a big race today. She will get further in time and if this becomes a bit of a slog, it may play into her hands. Without A Prayer looks the most interesting of the two newcomers and should be watched for market support, whilst Distant Noble wasn't beaten that far last time out; an ability to handle the ground and stay further than this trip could prove invaluable. Titfer needs to improve but is slowly going the right way, however Baronovici gets the nomination.
