This looks an ultra competitive contest with plenty of the 14 declared runners having claims including Clever Omneya, who has to give weight away all round, Copper King, who ran much better when finding just Musashi too good at Lingfield and Bryan Smart's See That Girl with marginal preference is for IMPERIAL SKYLIGHT. Mick Channon's gelding was narrowly beaten by Clever Omneya here last month but has a 6lb pull in the weights for the half length that separated the pair that day and he can gain a deserved success from what seems a decent draw. Reigning Monarch has been running consistently well of late but he has not won for over two years now and may have to settle for a place at best once more. Jessica Wigmo showed signs of a return to form here last time and Tony Carroll does have his string in good order at present so she has to be considered, while See That Girl is lightly raced and represents the bang in-form stable of Bryan Smart. Several of these have claims but Imperial Skylight has more solid claims than most and he is preferred.
