This isn't a race to be getting too heavily involved with, but our tentative vote goes to CHANROSSA ahead of Alfredtheordinary and Peinture De Guerre. Our selection remains a maiden from 14 starts but ran well when last racing off today's mark of 60. That effort was one of four second placed finishes over course and distance, with two less impressive efforts coming over further, so with the drop back to this ideal trip set to suit and an appealing handicap mark she rates the most likely winner. Alfredtheordinary is the clear danger on form despite the fact he's yet to win beyond a mile. The gelding was staying on to good effect last time over 1m1f and runs off the same mark as when third that day, so clearly merits respect. The rest are far from straightforward to assess, but perhaps Peinture De Guerre can improve now partnered by George Baker. This one showed little on his British flat debut last time but the drop back two furlongs and switch to stronger handling should see him get competitive off what might be a lenient rating. Mister Frosty ran one of his best races to date over course and distance last time and could go close off just a pound higher, so he's readily preferred to Kings Topic of the remainder. The last named is back down to a winning mark and as he's won here plenty will give him an each way chance, but his form of late hasn't been up to scratch. Siena Star is no better than fairly treated as this 12-year-old hides nothing from the assessor, Geoffdaw drops in class but will need to show more and with Easy Wonder taking a step into the unknown we'll return to the relatively solid profile of Chanrossa for our pick.
