Tejime is the form pick but he's become disappointing so a chance is taken on ARRY'S ORSE. Brian Smart's colt attracted support before taking fifth in a decent looking maiden back in August, where he understandably showed signs of greenness, so provided he's fit for this first run since then he could well improve enough to score. Tejime wasn't beaten too far in a handicap last time and with a rating of 70 he should take a race of this calibre, but he's disappointed on a couple of occasions and might be vulnerable to a less exposed sort like our pick. Likewise Fine Silk has form claims and, although her breeding would tell you otherwise, this step down in distance looks set to suit as she's been weak in the finish over seven. Again, she should have it in her to pick up a similar contest but in Brian Smart's Arry's Orse she meets one with a bit of scope. Ceto stepped up appreciably on her debut to take second here last time and that effort gives the filly sound claims. It'd be no surprise to see her also improve past a couple of these with Chris Catlin once again taking the ride. My Mandy has been unspectacularly consistent so far and she'll need to step up to score, so of more interest is Slap And Tickle who attracted some support on debut and could come on for that initial outing. The market will reveal more as to her chances, as it will with Edition who makes his racecourse debut. Just Say Please and Pippbrook Ministar are fellow newcomers worth a market check but our feeling is that Arry's Orse might be too good for these.
