In depth

Verdict

A moderate contest to round off what is a decent card and PASTA PRAYER is the selection to land it for the Simon Callaghan yard. Second last week over six furlongs, Pasta Prayer was doing all his best work in the closing stages and the additional furlong will suit. Melt and Celtic Charlie look the biggest threats to the selection. Melt drops back in trip and that is what he needs on the evidence of his most recent performances while Celtic Charlie would have claims if re-producing his maiden form. Market support for Billberry would be very significant as he hails from the shrewd yard of Stuart Williams and makes his handicap debut. Charming Tale, a half-brother to St Leger winner Rule Of Law has not acquired any of his relations talent but in the grade has to enter calculations. Pasta Prayer is selected to land the finale.
