This maiden will not take much winning but with little separating five of the six (6lb on ratings), it would come as no surprise if one of those without ratings did land it. The market should provide us with clues with regard to the chances of Rotative and Isabelonabicycle but we will give the purely speculative nomination to Mark Wallace's SENSIBLE. She returned earlier this summer following a layoff after her debut, where she stayed on well to take fourth position in a maiden over the course. She never got involved last time for some unknown reason but that was simply not her running after the promise she showed second time and a re-production could see her land it. Azure Mist found a well-handicapped sort too strong last time at Yarmouth. She travelled well in that event, the front two drawing well clear. She is admirably consistent but looks rather pace-less in the closing stages of her races and it would not be a surprise if a lesser exposed sort were to prove her undoing here. Cheney Manor and Speyside share the pride of being top-rated on a mark of 70. A first time visor looked to bring about an improved effort from Speyside last time and if the headgear has the same effect he would have have claims while Cheney Manor had the run-of-the-race last time out and simply had nothing to offer when pressure was applied. Rotative is a half-sister to sister to Arbella, a listed winning filly for the Swinburn yard. Her best form was with a real dig in the ground and as mentioned the market should give a strong guide to the worth of her chances. Sensible gets the vote to land this auction maiden.
