A chance is taken with Bird Over, with Auwitesweetheart and Golden Asha fancied to pose a few problems along the way. Golden Asha has proved consistent at this level and has paid her way in win and place money. Most of her best form has come with a bit of give underfoot, so her ability to handle this surface has to be taken on trust (she was fifth of seven on her only start at Lingfield). Auwitesweetheart goes well fresh and comes here on the back of a winning reappearance at Windsor. He is 3lb higher today, but is an effective weight carrier and can make his presence known despite the burden of top weight. However, Bird Over has already proved herself capable on the all weather and her tough battling qualities help tip the scales towards her in this tight little handicap.
