Flying Pass was unlucky not to get off the mark here last week and is fancied to strike while the iron is hot this afternoon; possibly with the most to fear from Blackmail and Dinner Date. There may also be some mileage to be gained with a small each-way interest in Bullseye, who has scope to improve over the trip and will not be found wanting for assistance from the saddle with Alan Munro doing the steering. Dinner Date could also have more to offer than he has consented to show lately and, having proved that handles an artificial surface, he has an ideal draw to exploit if he is in the right mood this afternoon. Blackmail has paid his dues over the years and is another that shouldn't be underestimated. He has won off an 11lb higher mark during his time and is no forlorn hope in this company. However, Flying Pass looked as if the penny has finally dropped with him here last week and, as Frankie Dettori was sufficiently impressed to keep the ride, he looks worth persevering with for the time being.
