The vote in the opener goes to Isobel Rose ahead of Nina Blini and, possibly, Samahir. The Barry Hills-trained Frisky Talk showed some early speed on her Newmarket debut and it would be no surprise to see her improve on that today but Isobel Rose was ahead of her in third on that occasion and looks to be a leading player today. Nina Blini showed promise on her Windsor debut and is another that has to be seriously considered. Peppin's Gold's tendency to hang right did not help her last time but she displayed enough in finishing second over course and distance that day and holds claims. Michael Jarvis's Samahir is an interesting newcomer, as are Richard Hannon's Tiara Boom De Ay and Alan Bailey's Vanatina, while Shreddy Shrimpster's breeding catches the eye but she was cheaply acquired. Finally, Cotswold Traveller got the idea late in the day on his course and distance debut, but more will be needed today, and Cyprus Rose is related to plenty of winners so watch the betting. Overall, though, we will stick with Isobel Rose.
