NODFORM VIOLET can take this race at the principal expense of Beauchamp and Monogram. The gelding finished a creditable third in a decent Doncaster event and with effectiveness on the going established, if fit enough to do himself justice, he will be a difficult nut to crack. Beauchamp was third in an Aintree bumper. That was on good to soft going and the time figure was not particularly smart. Monogram cost 70,000 guineas at the sales. From the family of Deep Sensation, he has a future ahead of him if living up to that billing. Jurisdiction faces a tough task to concede the winners penalty that he accrued for a success at Newton Abbot. Freddie Brown has a fascinating pedigree as a full brother to winners over 2m4f over hurdles. Saujana was bred to be a decent flat horse but failed to make the grade. He has now moved on to another set of training facilities having left Julie Camacho. Western Sahara is from the family of that quirky staying hurdler, Westender, so the market has to be closely monitored. Along Came Rosie is best of the rest. Nodform Violet is the pick on the basis of actuality rather than potential.
