Verdict

Sizing Ireland has shown some promise in bumpers and should do better now tackling hurdles. Wiesentraum has a similar profile while Baan ran on well to finish second at Ludlow last month. Airmen's Friend showed the benefit of his Ascot debut when finishing third at Folkestone but Henrietta Knight could hold the key to this contest saddling both Airdrie and LOCH BA. The former should be capable of better in time but the latter has already shown an aptitude for hurdling in finishing fourth at Towcester, where he actually got loose on the way to the start. A more routine preparation should see him in a better light here and he gets the vote.
